Custom Flags -1 Ply/2 Ply
1 Ply - Single Reverse
When ordering a 1 ply flag it is important to know where and how the flag will be displayed so that the flag is finished in a way that allows the front side to be shown. For example, a 1 ply car flag can have a sleeve on the left or right side of the flag depending on
which side of the car you wish to display the flag. 1 ply flags tend to fly easier as they have less weight than a 2 ply flag and in many
cases offer a more cost effective solution.
2 Ply - Double Sided
When artwork contains wording or a direction sensitive graphic 2 ply flags a recommended so that the image will display correctly on both sides. In the case of pennant or dye cut flags it is important to consider how the back side of the flag will appear.
Normally, on a 2 ply flag, if the front side reads left to right so will the back side. If the flag is cut into a pennant shape then the graphics may have to be altered slightly to fit the shape of the flag Also 2 ply flags are recommended if the flag or banner is printed on a material that may offer a lower bleed through.
A 2 ply flag can in some case, such as car flags, offer a stronger more durable product. While a 2 ply flag offers many advantages it also increases the weight of the flag and may not be recommended for very large flags on heavy material such as nylon, as the weight can impede the ability of the flag to fly.
