What is The Difference Between A Flag & Banner?
While these terms can at times be used interchangeable they do have distinct characteristics. Flag- a piece of fabric, usually flown from a mast or a pole. Flags are traditional imprinted with a emblem or insignia that is used symbolically for signally or identification. Flags can be printed on one or two sides and are usually finished with a header and grommets or a sleeve on the left hand side. Flag are normally sizes by ratio, the most common being 1:2, 1:5 or 1:6, but each country, state and organization may have its own standard. Banner- a piece of fabric, vinyl, paper, or PVC that is hung on a wall, over an open area or mounted on a display stand. Usually banners on printed on one side with little to no bleed through on the back side.
